How to make your iPhone Ringer Louder
Who among us has not missed a phone call on our cell phones because we never heard it ring? There are many reasons for missing this ring, but often, it's because the ring is just too low. Owners of iPhones, however, don't have to deal with this annoying problem. Unfortunately, many do—simply because they fail to configure it correctly. To be sure, many owners do have their phone's call volume set too low. However, this is a high-tech device, so rest assured, it's a simple matter to set the volume higher.
A lot of iPhone owners mistakenly think the reason that the default volume level is so low is because the speakers are so small. In most cases, however, the real problem is something else. In fact, it's usually the ringtones that come standard with the iPhone. They were recorded too low. This means that the best solution for increasing your call volume might be to find new ringtones other than the ones that come installed on the iPhone.
Here's the high-tech explanation, but in layman's terms, for the low call volume. The ringtones are quiet because they are made of such a low frequency. Therefore, to get a louder ringing, you will need to searh for ringtones that are made of higher frequencies. So how do you do that? Is it a complicated process?
Not really. Usually it's as simple as turning on your computer. If you own a Macintosh computer, then go into the Garage Band application. You'll be able to find new ringtones there. In our opinion, the best one available in Garage Band is “Cell Phone Ringing.” Other ways of finding ringtones might just require you to go on the Internet, go to Google, and search with the terms “iPhone ringtones.”
Putting the ringtone on your iPhone is a bit more involved, however, than just downloading it. To put the tone on your phone, you need to run the Ifunstastic, a program for those with an Intel-MAC. If you use a Windows based PC, then you'll need to run the application iPhoneRingToneMaker or perhaps iBrickr. All three of these programs do the same thing: They install the ringtones from your computer to your iPhone, giving you a louder, more audible ringtone.
You'll never have to worry about missing a call if you have the right ringtone on your iPhone. And the right ringtone will be one which has a loud ringing by default. Doing so will allow you to enjoy your iPhone with as few irritations as possible.
