Tips for your iPhone Camera
There are so many marvelous features to the iPhone that it's hard for some to pick their favorite: Is it the handy touchscreen, the email capabilities, the large screen that makes for full Internet capabilities? It could be any of these. However, one of the iPhone's greatest features for most owners is its 2.0 megapixel camera installed directly in the phone.
Sure, other cell phones have camera phones. But unlike most of these other phones, the iPhone actually takes good quality photos, comparable to some digital cameras, and perfect for social networking sites like My Space or Facebook. If you find yourself using your iPhone's camera features a lot, there are some tips you can use to take even better pictures.
Tip number one is to understand how your iPhone actually takes photos. This is actually a two-step process. Whereas traditional digital cameras take the photo once you have pressed the shutter button, the iPhone uses a different procedure. You still must press the shutter button, but the iPhone does not actually take the picture at this point. It's when you release the button that it takes the photo. As a result, many people have wound up with pictures slightly different from what they thought they were taking, because the actual picture takes place a split second after the point when you might think.
Here's a way to get past this. Press the shutter down, and hold. Then tell your subjects to smile or otherwise set up the shot. After you're sure the picture is what you want, release the button to take the picture. This will result in pictures that are better-times and more in line with the shot that you were aiming for.
Tip number two for using the iPhone camera is to use your camera in setting up your contact list. This tip is actually a blast and will bring your contct list alive. Try to take a photo of everyone on your contact list. Then set it so that, when the person calls, his photo will appear. This will make even the act of receiving a phone call fun and enjoyable.
One fun idea to try is to get a piece of glass and put your contact on the other side of the glass. Have him press his face against the glass and snap the shot. Now, when the person calls, it will look as though he or she is trapped within the screen on your iPhone, just trying to get out.
Maybe the best tip for getting the most out of your camera works for other aspects of the phone as well: Just play with it. Experiment. After a while you've find loads of ways to make the iPhone fun, helpful and enjoyable.
